Hazeltail's Secret Heart

And her we have the incredibly awesome…BirchxHazel! I adore this couple I like BirchxApple equally as much, but BirchxHazel is an epic win!
Well, here we see Birchfall is just strolling past Hazeltail in all his glorious stupid cluelessness, while Hazeltail is looking at him and blushing bright red because she has the HUGEST crush on Birchy. Do I have anything from the books to back up my theory that Hazeltail has a crush on Birchfall? Lolno. I just think it’s a nice idea. Obviously, the feelings can’t be mutual since Birchfall is mates with Whitewing, or, if my theory about Birchfall just covering for the father of Whitewing’s kits while the real father is Hawkfrost and Birchfall is secretly mates with Applefur and their kits are Pinepaw and Ferretpaw, is correct, then Applefur. Either way, he’s certainly not up for grabs. But nonetheless, Hazeltail is crushing on him big time…in my happy world
So why do I like the idea of it? Well, what’s not to like about Birchfall? He’s such a hunk of crush material! He’s fun-loving, friendly, cheerful, feisty, but also loyal and comitted. Hazeltail’s the same way…she’s playful and friendly, but also loyal. Girls tend to like guys who have similar traits. Also, Hazeltail hasn’t got a love interest in the clan, or a potential love interest who isn’t way too old or young for her. Birchfall is pretty much the only cat who is close enough to her age for them to be mates and not gross me out. Also, they went on the Sol journey together, so she got to spend a lot of time with him. Therefore, Hazeltail has plenty of reason to like Birchfall
So needless to say, I looooooove this couple and wish they could be together. Maybe I’ll design kits for them eventually! I HATE BIRCHXWHITE! SHE’S TOO FREAKING OLD FOR HIM! I mean really…she’s OLDER than both of his older siblings! It’s just…ick! I don’t think she waited for him ebcause she WANTED to, I think it’s because Firestar MADE her so he wasn’t the only apprentice. They are not in love! Whitewing should get with either Shrewpaw (if he lived) or Hawkfrost. That’s all there is to it. BirchxWhite is nasty
Now…the picture! I’m actually quite pleased with how this came out, especially Hazeltail. It took a while to make her look as gorgeous as the cat I referenced for her, but I think I did a pretty good job. I especially like the way her hair tuft and eyes look Her head in general just looks awesome I tried a new design for her…I like it about the same as the old one, so I might switch off between the 2 when I’m drawing her. The reason I made her eyes golden brown is ebcause…for some strange reason, I always associate the word “hazel” with the color golden-brown. I really couldn’t tell you why. I originally pictured Hazeltail as being golden brown instead of gray-and-white, but I knew I couldn’t draw her like that on here or it would just confuse people. So the closest I could come was giving her golden-brown eyes. They look a little odd on her, but I can deal. I used my new tabby stripe style on Birchfall, and it looks rather good on him I think he looks best with amber eyes, so that’s what he’s got! His head looks a little smaller than Hazeltail’s but I like to make myself believe that’s just because his ears are down.I didn’t give them whiskers because all and all, they look better without them. I didn’t put a background on this piccy because I couldn’t think of one :/ It makes it look rather dull, but I guess it can’t be helped.
