I can't take it anymore!

Icecloud bared her teeth at Cinderheart. Oh, how she would love to dig her teeth into that stupid tabby's back, and hear her girly scream. The things she would do to her if they weren't in the same clan!

Icecloud shook the thoughts out of her head. She had to get out of here…there was no way she could sleep after all that. She needed some time to think…away from her crush and his bitchy girlfriend.

Icecloud carefully made her warrior over the furry backs of the sleeping warriors. Coudtail snorted and rolled over, and she froze in midstep. Her heart pounded out of her chest as she eased her paws over him, one by one. The white she-cat cleared Dustpelt's sleeping body in one leap, and padded out into the rain.

It wasn't the kind of rain that comes in leaf-bare, chilling your bnes and soaking your face. No, this was soft, gentle greenleaf rain, the kind that apprentices catch on their tongue.

It pattered softly on the ground, falling onto the already-damp dirt. No one was standing at the entrance to the camp. Who would want to, in the rain? Not a cat was stirring. All of them were asleep…in their warm, warm dens…

Icecloud bared her teeth and pushed toward the camp entrance. Water splashed into her pelt and onto her whiskers, drops running down her face. It wasn't cold, but it sure felt like it. Almost like Starclan was weeping.

The white she-cat trotted past the nursery, and glanced inside. There were her mother and Daisy, asleep in the back. And there was Poppyfrost, Cinderheart's sister…Berrynose's kits asleep behind her. Icecloud's stomach lurched. How long would it be before Cinderheart moved in there, and gave birth to a litter of tabby kits? Icecloud growled. She should be the one proudly nursing Lionblaze's kits!

She stepped through the wet bramble barrier, no thorns catching in her rain-coated fur. Thank Starclan…no one should know where she'd been. No, not even Foxleap.

The forest didn't provide much shelter from the rain. The water stuck in the branches, and fell from the green canopy as big, cold drops. The long grass was soft and cool, running across her sleek white pelt as she made her way around the dripping ferns. One frond bobbed up and sent raindrops sprawling in her face, one squeezing into her eye. The white warrior hissed in annoyance and shook the water out of her fur.

A lot of good it did. The raindrops continued to splash into her pelt, several landing on her face. Icecloud closed her blue eyes, and the image of a golden tom crossed into her mind, a golden tom kissing a gray she-cat. Suddenly, Icecloud felt something wet running down her cheek. At first she thought it was more raindrops, but as she dared to look, she saw there was a trail leading back to her eye. Another tear came, weaving its way through white fur, until it spashed onto the ground right alongside the raindrops.

I love walking in the rain. No one knows when I'm CRYING…

Icecloud slinked her way under the shelter of a soaking fern, feeling the cold water wash through her pelt. All at once, the white she-cat started sobbing, the teardrops falling down onto the grass rapidly. Lionblaze wasn't hers, and would never be hers. Here, in this puny clan, there were no second chances. You lost your crush, you lost your chance to have a mate.

Once all her tears had come out, Icecloud backed out from underneath the fern, and trudged on. The farther she got from the camp, from those two warriors sleeping side-by-side, the better. Suddenly, Icecloud tumbled over her front paws and landed facefirst on the ground. She turned to see she had tripped over a bulky root, snaking through the grass. Another root curved around in a circle nearby, sticking up out of the long green stalks. It was filled with fresh rainwater, the surface of the puddle quivering. Icecloud stepped forward, leaning down. The she-cat lapped up several gulps of the liquid. It tasted so fresh, so pure…like her heart.

Sighing, Icecloud padded away. A scent drifted into her nose as she walked. Oh, she loved the smell of rain. It was so sweet, so delicious…and so cold. Like ice in a waterless leaf-bare.

At last, Icecloud began to hear the crashing of waves. Suddenly filled with excitement, she broke into a run, her white paws skimming the wet ground. She leaped over a hazel bush and landed on a pebbly bank. The white warrior glanced back at the small grass-topped bluff that led back to the forest before turning toward the lake.

The rain was harder here, but the drops were smaller. Damp ground-up pebble bits stuck to Icecloud's paws, scraping against the rocks. The waves of the lake were crashing steadily onto the ground, spraying everything around them with icy water.

A million ripples were stretched across the lake surface, flexing and dissapearing into the dark blue water. Drops splashed onto the surface, and dissapeared into the tiny circular waves. Icecloud could see all the rain falling, here in this open space, as well as the other three territories. There was Windclan, in their hilly moore, and Riverclan across the lake, living on an island between two streams. Shadowclan's usually dark pine forest was pentrated by an unnaturally bright yellow light, appearing to stretch out  in the rain. Icecloud guessed it was from the twolegs that lived over there.

Rainkit. That's what she wanted to name her kit, if she ever had one. After this mystical, magical water that falls from the sky, like Starclan's joyful or devastated tears. But who was she kidding? Lionblaze didn't give a damn about anything she did. All he cared about was his whore of a girlfriend.

Icecloud shivered. It was cold out here…why shouldn't it be? Things never went the way she intended…and she would spend her whole life feeling like thorns were being torn through her fur, every day.

"Oooh, somebody's feeling down in the dumps!"

Icecloud spun around at the sound of the sneer behind her. She clenched her teeth when she saw Cinderheart standing behind her, her gray tabby tail swishing in anger, her blue eyes like the dark clouds above them.

What do you want?" Icecoud growled, struggling to keep her voice controlled when talking to the cat who had stolen her love from her.

"What is it, honey, daydreaming about my boyfriend?" The gray cat put extra emphasis on the word "boyfriend."

"Whatsit to you?" Icecloud retorted. "I can do whatever I want!"

"Jealous, jeaous, jealous!" Cinderheart pursed her lips, the one that so often pressed against Lionblaze's. "Why should Lionblaze care anything about you? You're not even his friend!"

"Just so you know, I've liked him my whole life!" Icecloud snarled, bristling. "I had dibs on him MOONS before you showed up!"

"Well, just so you know, he's got his eyes on my butt, not yours! Who cares who liked him first? My fur is soooo much prettier than yours!" Cinderheart bragged.

Icecloud curled her lip. What could she possibly say to that?

"Someday, you're gonna blow up at him, and he's gonna break up with you!" she burst out. "And then he'll come after me! Until then…I'll chase after him and flirt with him as much as I please! Maybe he'll even realize how disgusting your face is…"

Cinderheart sprang forward, snapping at Icecloud. The white she-cat swang her paw at the tabby, just barely missing when she ducked away.

"Look, just lay off my boyfriend!" Cinderheart spat. Her eyes darkened. "Or I'll make you."

"Huh!" Icecloud snorted. "What're you going to do? Piss on me?"

"That's all you'd have the guts to do to me!" the other she-cat jeered.

"Pfft! I'm your clanmate! You can't do anything to me…"

"Oh, I think I can." Cinderheart curled her lips into a dark smile as she slid her claws out.

"If that's what you want…" Icecloud unsheathed her own small, sharp claws. "I'll be ready for you."
Part 2! Well, this part is basically self-explanatory. Icecloud is walking in the forest, in the rain, feeling ever so sorry for herself. I remeber many a time waking in the rain last year...*sighs* I had some fun with teenage girl clichès, about "oh, nothing will ever be right again if I don't get with my crush." Usually, I'd say "move on" but in warriors...rarely do you GET the chance to move on! I mean...there are only so many toms in a clan. Luckily, warriors is fiction, and you can virtually control what happens.
The "walking-in-the-rain" scene was fun to write, since i got to use all this depressing descriptive language, from my own literal "walking-in-the-rain" experiences. Poor Icecloud...wants Lionblaze, but can't have him. She's just mooning over him, and enjoying how pretty rain is. Then, guess who shows up?
Well, Cinderheart's been suspecting Icecloud's after her boyfriend for a while now, and now she finally gets the chance to talk to her alone when she wakes up and sees Icecloud's not in her nest. They have a "girl-after-the-same-boy" fight, in which there is a lot of dissing and cussing. Doesn't it just SOUND like two teenagers?! It ends with Cinderheart making a threat...and Icecloud returning it. Oooh, what're they gonna do now? You'll just have to wait for part 3 (evil grin)
