REFERENCE USED: fav.me/d4d7bhf THE PICTURE BELONGS TO =JB-Pawstep! I GIVE HER FULL CREDIT FOR THE REFERENCE. From the moment I saw it, I decided it’d make the perfect WhitexShrew picture! The lineart was tough to copy at first, but once I got the hang of it, it wasn’t too bad. My ref was really well drawn, so I barely needed to change anything!
C’est…WhitexShrew!!! It’s my best picture of them yet! Lol my WhitexHawk-supporting friends are going to kill me, but what can I say? I still love WhitexHawk a LOT, but I shall spam DeviantArt with WhitexShrew piccies until SquirrelxShrew is dwarfed by them >: D DIE DIE DIE SQUIRRELXSHREW!!!! I F***ING HATE THAT PAIRING!!! SO MUCH IT’S NOT EVEN FUNNY! They’re JUST FRIENDS -_______- Squirrelflight always liked Brambleclaw after she left on the journey to the sun-drown-place! Whitepaw spent a TON more time with Shrewpaw than Squirrelpaw did. In fact, here are 5 reasons WhitexShrew is BETTER than SquirrelxShrew!!!!
~You know, there’s a such thing as FRIENDSHIP in warriors between toms and she-cats. Okay, I admit, it’s hard to get w/o ppl squealing about them being mates, but for pete’s sake! What about Squirrelflight and Crowfeather, Ivypaw and Tigerheart (before she attacked Flametail)? THEY WERE FRIENDSHIPS, DERP!
~Whitepaw spent significantly more time with Shrewpaw than Squirrelpaw did. For one thing, Whitekit was mentioned to be the oldest kit in Firestar’s Quest, so she would be the oldest apprentice out of the New Prophecy initial 5. Also, Brambleclaw said in Midnight that Squirrelpaw was RECENTLY APPRENTICED, and had only been training for 2 moons. If Whitekit was almost an apprentice when Squirrekit was born, Whitepaw spent WAAAAY more time training with Shrewpaw than Squirrelpaw did! Also, Squirrelpaw went on the journey to the sun-drown-place and was away from her clan for a lot of moons. Whitepaw was there the whole time…with Shrewpaw.
~SQUIRRELPAW WAS ALREADY IN LOVE WITH BRAMBLECLAW! One time in Dawn, BEFORE SHREWPAW DIES, Leafpaw notes that “her sister seemed to be falling in love with the muscular tabby warrior.” Just admit it, SquirrelxBramble haters! (although I honestly don’t see how any1 could hate Brambleclaw OR the pairing! Well the pairing, maybe, since Squirrelflight has a tendancy to annoy people)
~Whitepaw sat vigil with him!!! Did Squirrelpaw? NOPE! Okay, she did for like 2 minutes and said “you’ll be a warrior in Starclan” and then she left. Yes, she was upset, but not enough to sit vigil with him! Whitepaw was devastated! She obviously loved the guy <3
~Whitewing and Shrewpaw just seem more mate-ish than Squirrelflight and Shrewpaw do. Whitewing was rly shy as an apprentice, and Shrewpaw seemed to be the only one who “got” her. Yes, Squirrelflight and Shrewpaw were good friends, but look how easily Squirrelflight made friends! Stormfur, Tawnypelt, Feathertail, Ashfur, Shrewpaw, and even grumpy old Crowfeather! Whitewing was always kinda shy, and the only cats she rly warmed up to were Shrewpaw and Birchfall (who she mated with later, much to my disgust )
So as you can see, SquirrelxShrew fails and WhitexShrew is adorable young love! I’m positive they would’ve become mates if Shrewy lived! They totally have chemistry! They were super-good friends, and they had that “secret love” type of feel to them. There just weren’t any sparks between Squirrelpaw and Shrewpaw. Ever. EVER!!!!11!111!!!! If Shrewpaw had lived, than he and Whitepaw would’ve stuck together throghout the Great Journey, and stayed close. I think it’s only logical they would’ve had their warrior ceremony together as well, since Shrewpaw would’ve waited for Whitepaw (unlike Spiderpaw! D:<). She’d still be Whitewing and a good name for him would be Shrewwhisker. They would’ve stayed friends a bit longer, and then confessed they liked each other and get into a relationship. Like would deepen to love, and the two would eventually decide to have kits. I don’t think they’d have kits right away, since both are pretty patient cats, and Whitewing had her kits with Birchfall pretty late, so I don’t think she was just ecstatic to have them right after she became a warrior. Also, if Shrewpaw lived, I think Birchfall would’ve gotten together with Hazeltail, or maybe Applefur. And sadly, we wouldn’t have any WhitexHawk either But hey, it can’t be helped *sad sigh* So Whitewing and Shrewwhisker would probably have one litter of kits, and settle down. And Squirrelflight would be with Brambleclaw, or whoever the hell else she wants so long as it’s not Shrewwhisker!!!!
I’ll probably always have a good association with this picture because…it was while I was drawing this that I had my first real facebook conversation with the boy I like! I haven’t seen him in 7 months, and I’m terrified he’ll get a girlfriend at his school before I see him again in the summer, so I had to make my move real fast-like when I saw him online on facebook. We had a pretty short conversation on Friday, and then he said he’d chat me later, although I wasn’t sure if he actually would. I spent all of my waking hours on Saturday on facebook to see if he’d chat me again, but…he didn’t D: So I decided I was going to stay offline on Sunday so he if he DID come online, he’d know I had a life outside of facebook and didn’t just stay online 24/7. All day long, I worked on finishing coloring in the cats and designing the background. So Sunday night, he chatted me again! I didn’t reply until Monday, but on Monday we had a big long conversation about this, that, and the other and it was pretty much the best Monday of my life <3 I got soooooo high off of him! After all, I’ve never talked with one of my crushes for a long period of time when we’re not face-to-face, and it was pretty exciting. I also finished this picture on Monday, working on it before and after we talked. Of course, if we got together and broke up, I’d probably hate this picture forever because it would make me miss him so much. However, all of that is in the future, so I won’t worry about it now
I love love LOVE how this came out! Everything about it! It’s like the best thing ever! *person slaps me for excessive bragging* Oooops…sorry But this IS good though! The colors on White and Shrew are perfect, as are their expressions and their poses from the refernce. I think I made the pencil marks tood ark on Shrewpaw’s blush, though >___< FFFFUUUUU! I really like their eye shape though, and their mouth shape. They’re both just so CUTE!!! 8D Shrewpaw looks kind of fat, but that’s okay, seeing as he’s a young apprentice. I intended for them to look young, and they do! And of course,t he hair tufts came out epic as always. Shrewpaw’s, especially! It’s all spiky and awesome And last but not least…YAY FOR THE FLUFFY TAILS!!!!!!
I have no clue where they are…let’s just go with magical pink-and-purple bubble world. My geometry design backgrounds always look better than my scenery backgrounds anyway. I like the way the different shades of pink and the purple bg contrast with each other. Go me!!! Lol jk jk I’m not THAT arrogant *gets slapped by a random person again*
